Certifiate in Ballet Teaching

Briony was born and raised in our local Northern Rivers area.  She started dancing at the age of 5 studying a range of dance styles including Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Hip hop and Cabaret. As she entered her teens she found a strong love and passion for Ballet and Contemporary dance.

Briony Danced in the closing ceremony of the 2018 CommonWealth Games with The Queensland Ballet. She then received a $100, 000 scholarship to the prestigious McDonald College School of Performing Arts in Sydney. Here she received extensive training in Ballet and Contemporary and completed her high school certificate graduating in 2021.

 

Briony is currently in her second year studying for a Certificate in Ballet Teaching studies with The Royal Academy of Dance.

Other training includes Byron Ballet 2016-2019 where Briony completed Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) exams receiving distinctions. She has performed principal, soloist and quarter ballet roles in many of Byron Ballet’s Youth Company Productions. Some productions include The Nutcracker, Paquita, A Midsummer's Night's Dream, Rite of Spring, Sleeping Beauty, Threads, Bolero, Paquita, Les Sylphides and many more. 

Briony joined the MMDance teaching faculty in 2022 and we are so pleased to have her teaching again in 2023.

 

Miss Briony will be teaching Classical Ballet and Contemporary classes.
